Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She is currently a fighter in the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports journey with a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an unanimity. Antonina was awarded an award of Silver in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011, and in the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in at the age of 2003. She won at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in 2012 and The Lion Fight Lightweight Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut took place in 2002, at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She was victorious via TKO after round 2. Her following two matches were staged in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to concentrate on kickboxing. She made her comeback in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. Following the league's dissolution in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina demonstrated her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera with knees. Antonina's UFC contract was extended in the wake of this win. Antonina Shychenko made her debut in the UFC at TUF's Heavy Hitters finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by the unanimous verdict. She then fell in her second fight due to a split verdict. Antonina bounced back from losing to beat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the evening for this bout. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights but then lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Recently Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
