Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. Burrell was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond wigs and a pumped-up personality, explains how to prepare restaurant-style meals at home using simple methods. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also studied Italy's culinary tradition and its culture and the surrounding landscape. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and eating from an early age. After earning an English and Communication diploma at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. It was impossible to take enough enjoyment from it. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, and has made an impression on her perception of food. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of kids who struggle. She also is a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate, where she promotes awareness of young diabetics. As a guest speaker and mentor she travels across the U.S. to share her passion for cooking as well as her career. Anne always felt fortunate that she was able to share her passion of and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
